Our Story of New Construction across Southeastern Michigan

In 1945, brothers Paul and Covert Robertson returned from WWll and established Robertson Brothers Company. Their intent was to build small, affordable homes for the returning veterans in Berkley and Royal Oak. They continued to move north, starting to build in Bloomfield Hills and Troy. They called this their Adams Road Corridor. They quickly became the most sought after new home builder name for new construction in southeast Michigan and beyond.

In 1972 Paul Robertson, Jr. joined the company and soon thereafter became president, purchasing and developing what became the first condominium neighborhood in southeast Michigan. This was called Adams Woods. This “Lifestyle” living included a clubhouse, pool, and tennis courts – soon to be followed by more Robertson Homes condominium developments, including golf course communities. TPC of Dearborn, The Heathers, Bingham Woods, The Links of Northville Hills, and Huron Chase in Ann Arbor to name but a few. Building The Willits in downtown Birmingham with his partner Steve Ross of The Related Companies has probably been the highlight of his career.

Robertson Homes has continued to be a major force in both condominium and single-family home developments and have developed over 40 communities in southeastern Michigan – having received many awards over the years as a Michigan new home builder. Once again Robertson Brothers Homes of Bloomfield Hills, MI is developing new construction in many locations including Clarkston, South Lyon & Canton and are back to where it all started so many years ago.
