For homebuyers seeking new construction, Detroit now has options (Detroit Free Press)

For those in the market to buy a home in Detroit, there are options beyond house rehabs or condos within buildings.

There is now a modest yet growing inventory of newly constructed for-sale housing, particularly upscale townhomes and new single-family houses.

These types of new developments weren't as common in the city a decade ago, but they have been popping up more in the past six or so years in the greater downtown area as Detroit has experienced more revitalization and grown more attractive to homebuyers with the incomes to afford new construction.
