$25,000 off Select Homes
June is National Homeownership Month, making it the perfect time to separate fact from fiction—especially when it comes to new construction homes. At Robertson Homes, we hear it all the time: “Isn’t building a new home more expensive?” or “Don’t you have to wait forever to move in?” The truth may surprise you.
Let’s bust five common myths about buying a new construction home:
Reality: While base prices may be slightly higher than older homes, new construction offers long-term savings through energy efficiency, fewer repairs, and minimal maintenance. Plus, you can avoid costly renovations by choosing modern finishes upfront.
Reality: Many of our homes are already under construction or move-in ready! Robertson Homes offers quick move-in options throughout Metro Detroit, so you can settle in without the long wait.
Reality: With new construction, you choose the finishes, flooring, cabinetry, and more—so your home reflects your style from day one.
Reality: Our communities are thoughtfully placed near parks, shopping, dining, and top-rated schools. Whether you want walkability or wooded views, we build where people want to live.
Reality: Robertson Homes makes the process clear and easy. From mortgage pre-approval to design choices to move-in day, our experienced team is with you at every step.
Don’t let myths stand in the way of your dream home. Celebrate National Homeownership Month by exploring our new construction communities and discovering just how easy—and rewarding—homeownership can be.
This is our third new home. Robertson Brothers Builder is by far superior to the other two builders. Everyone in our process was outstanding. My wife and I can not say enough how outstanding in every way we were treated by everyone in the Robertson Organization. Especially Jeff Watkins, Virginia Cox, Candice Cicala, Tracy Ladd, Sabrina Baldwin and First American Title Company and a number of workers on site such as John the plumber. The quality of work each step of the way was outstanding and you should be very proud of the employees at Robertson Brothers.
