The Troy Community Foundation announced that it received a donation of $36,500 from Robertson Brothers Homes at the Oct. 20 Troy City Council meeting.
Bloomfield Hills-based Robertson Brothers Homes recently built several home developments in Troy.
“It is important for us to make good on our pledge to invest in the communities where we do business. We believe that the best way to do that is to identify organizations already meeting the community investment needs in a given city, and we found that in the Troy Community Foundation,” said David W. Robertson, Vice President of Human Resources, Recruiting and Special Projects for Robertson Brothers Homes.
Karen Greenwood, Troy Community Foundation board chair, said, “We are so grateful to receive such a generous donation from Robertson Brothers Homes. Our board is excited to have the opportunity to think of ways in which we can reinvest these dollars back into the Troy community.”
The nonprofit Troy Community Foundation will be hosting Troy Charity Night 2025 — what the nonprofit calls a “reverse charity night” — on Nov. 13, from 5:30-7 p.m. at Walsh College, 3838 Livernois Road, north entrance, Troy. Each ticketed attendee will be able to choose from one of the existing endowment funds and endowed scholarships, and the foundation will make a $50 donation for each ticket purchased. Tickets are $25+ each at https://troycf.org/charitynight2025.

The building supervisor Ron Simon was exceptional and we very much appreciated the help of Tracey in the design center in marking our choices. The salesperson Tiffany was always available and helpful and we loved the get together for new homeowners after we moved in. We love our new home!
